he made you the other day
you learned about him in his word
he heard your prayer when you prayed
your problems he took away

he watched you grow up day by day
he said don’t be so afraid
I learn more going on this way
now here’s what I have to say

and then I went out on the street
go out there and preach the word
and don’t forget your holy sword

he gives you strength he gives you power
he’s there to help in every hour
