Never Touch A Ghost Songtext / Lyric

In an old house in Schaan, lived a son with his parents.
One day he said:
Every time exactly at midnight, there's a man outside walking around the border stake.
He shines with a lamp and he acts, as if he´s looking for something.
I will go outside this time and check who it is.

In vain his father advised him:
Don´t do that! It might be a ghost, who had rearranged the stake while he lived.
But the son didn´t listen to the words of his father, and at midnight, he sneaked around the corner of the house.
In a white gown, the ghost stood there with his light and held out his hand.
The lad took it.
But he shouldn´t have done that since you are never allowed to touch a ghost´s hand.
Like the ghost requested, the lad rearranged the border stakes and then went back into the house. In front of his mother´s eyes, he suddenly fell over and was dead.
The parents placed a big cross on the wall, for the child´s peace of mind.
The ghost was never seen again.
