Remaining Desire

Letters of innocence Songtext / Lyric

Remaining Desire - Letters of innocence Songtext

One day the day will come
When I`ll come to regret
What I did right – at the time.
One day I`ll be able to laugh
At the problems I`m having today.
One day I`ll miss the scent which once showed me the way,the scent which made me want to do anything at all.
One day I`ll be reading my letters and say
That I wrote them out of innocence

One day I`ll learn to accept the tide of change and I`ll learn to live with it.
One day I`ll miss the lonely feeling that I have felt so often, and I`ll hope to find it again one day.
One day I`ll be looking through the misty windows and miss the dreams of the past.

One day I`ll miss the years
During which I didn`t love.
One day I`ll long for the past and I`ll come to miss all the things which once made me worry, the things I`d admired.
One day the wall across my path will have gone, and I`ll be happy with what I`ve reached, and I`ll hope I `ll no longer have the desire to reach further than the goal.

One day the trees will be full of leaves again, and I`ll recall the final leaf of yesterday.
One day I`ll no longer be writing letters, and I`ll be reading the letters I once wrote to myself, recalling the past, and feeling sorrow.

One day I`ll see the end and I`ll recall my life.
I`ll pour out my heart one last time.
I`ll remember, for one last time, the letters I once wrote out of innocence.
And maybe I`ll receive a call from paradise.
