Oleander Songtext / Lyric

P.W. Long's Reelfoot - Oleander Songtext

There's a road by my home where the Oleanders grow

Down that road you can see me to know

Each Sunday mornin' in my Mothers hand

I strayed from that road is what I'd never planned

Well I was afflicted, hainted by ghosts

Well I played awaste by mine was worser then those

I tried to wash those ghosts from my head

But what I washed away was my whole life instead

My heart is frail, some find me mean

Find me pale and my vision obscene

You can find me drunk and my tales too tall

Could you leave me lay lord if you find me at all

Forgive me the pain my ways have caused

What I love most are the things that I've lost

I stand by my mother, she cries for me

She hurt from the light that wont let her see

My heart is frail, some find me mean

Find me pale and my vision obscene

You can find me drunk and my tales too tall

Could you leave me lay lord if you find me at all

Could you leave me lay lord if you find me at all

Could you leave me lay lord if you find me at all

find me at all, find me at all

if you find me at all
