Charlemagne Palestine Biografie
Charlemagne Palestine (eigentlich Charles Martin; * 15. August 1945 oder 15. August 1947 in Brooklyn, New York) ist ein US-amerikanischer minimalistischer Komponist sowie Objekt- und Installationskünstler. Er zählt neben La Monte Young, Terry Riley und Philip Glass zu den Pionieren der Minimal Music.[1] Bekannt ist er vor allem für seine Live-Shows, bei denen er sich und sein Klavier mit zahlreichen Kuscheltieren umgibt, dutzende Nelkenzigaretten raucht und dazu Cognac trinkt.
